They're not all flakes

Allan Shore (a client) is running for Governor.

Arianna Huffington might run. If the choice is between her or Issa....

I still like this guy

Howard Dean, on Slate.

Weird keep getting weirder.

Want to be governor? You're not alone.

Not since Richard Nixon have the Reps. put up such law abiding citizens.

SF Chronicle: Rep. Darrell Issa was arrested twice on illegal-weapons charges, including an incident in Michigan that led to a misdemeanor gun conviction....

iTunes, the Movie

Frankly, I wish George would sleep with an intern, just so he'd have something else to think about.

Paul Krugman, from the New York Times...
"...our insistence on launching a war without U.N. approval has deprived us of useful allies. George Bush claims to have a "huge coalition," but only 7 percent of the coalition soldiers in Iraq are non-American — and administration pleas for more help are sounding increasingly plaintive.

How serious is the strain on our military? The Brookings Institution military analyst Michael O'Hanlon, who describes our volunteer military as "one of the best military institutions in human history," warns that "the Bush administration will risk destroying that accomplishment if they keep on the current path."
Thanks JD
Apparently some people aren't as fond of Gilmore.

Airport Insecurity

I really hate the new airport security. Mostly because they're solving last year's problem. But then there's the whole give-up-your-rights to fly to Denver. (I need ID to travel in my own country? How South Africa!)

Here's the latest.

I'm pretty much a coward. I'd know better than to wear that button because I want to get London, not argue with stupid people. But I'm glad there are people like Gilmore around.

Sunday, July 20, 2003

So, I'm playing with Blogger. I imagine, if it works, I'll move this page over.

Pandering award for July goes to....

Bill Frist, the Senate Majority Leader, supports amending the U.S. Constitution to prohibit gay marriage.

What a waste of energy.

I like this New Yorker commentary a lot.

You can get the Supreme Court decision that legalized sodomy here. It's a PDF file.

Of Note

ABC News has an interesting site called The Note. It's a daily summary of the activities of the Presidential candidates. Check it out.

Issa think it's a Grey day in California

The Sore Loser award goes to the California Republican Party.

So, if you don't like the election results you can always hold a recall. Why wait four years.

My problem with the recall is that the Reps. have no one to blame but themselves. If they had found someone other than a troglodyte, they might hold the governor's mansion.
Hi. Welcome. Lilah is reading this, so I'll try not to waste your time.
